The Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Central and Home & Office City, jointly presented the Wheels on Meals Programme with a GE 20 cubic ft. upright frost-free freezer.
On hand for the donation were Ms Effie Mitchell, Rotary Central Community Service; Ms Beulah McField, Meals on Wheel Programme; and Mrs. Theresa Leacock-Broderick of Home & Office City, states a press release.
General Manager Theresa Leacock-Broderick commented ‘There are many worthy charities and stellar efforts to serve others within our community.
‘However, the sharing of food to those in need, whatever the circumstance is such a fundamental humane act of kindness and our family is particularly pleased to have this opportunity to support the Meals on Wheels programme.’
Rotary Central of Grand Cayman Central is committed to supporting many programmes in the community and will continue to assist the Wheels on Meals Programme in it endeavours to assisting those in need, the release states.
Ms McField expressed her gratitude and thanked both organisations for the generous donation.
