That was a great column in the Caymanian Compass about women [‘Where is the outrage over the enslavement of women?’ by Guy P. Harrison; 9 March 2005].
I agree that we are too passive as a collective humanity, but also as a community.
Here in Cayman we have troubling domestic violence and sexual assault rates, yet we turn a blind eye and claim ourselves to be a safe and peaceful country.
I speak daily with women who do not know what it means to be safe, right here within our shores.
