Cayman National staff gets tough

The 14th annual staff meeting of the Cayman National Group of Companies was held 18 June at the Westin Casuarina Resort.

Directors and staff members attended the event to look back on the past year with great pride and strength of the team and to recognize and reward staff for their efforts.

‘Following the difficulties we have faced during the last year, this our 14th annual staff meeting was a very special event. The massive support that all our staff gives to this function, at which attendance is voluntary, underlines the commitment and dedication that all within the Cayman National Family have to the organization,’ said Mr. Dack, President and Chief Executive of Cayman National Corporation.

This year Mr. Dack presented the CEO’s Award to Ralph Lewis, Senior Vice President Service Delivery, CNB, for his exceptional contribution to Cayman National in the immediate days that followed Hurricane Ivan.

Mr. Dack said, ‘the number of our staff that turned out to help re-open the bank and our other offices following the storm despite all the considerable difficulties that everyone was experiencing was truly remarkable. Many people emerged as true and spirited leaders – Ralph Lewis was one of these and his efforts ensured that Cayman National was able to provide our customers banking services as soon as the security position enabled us to open our doors’.

The meeting coordinator, Claudia Welds said, ‘in spite of the many distractions during the past nine months, the event was a tremendous success, something I believe our staff looked forward to. The atmosphere was extremely positive and highly energetic, and the efforts to foster such an atmosphere by the team responsible for the décor paid off. Of course, the success of an event like this is a direct result of team effort, therefore every member of staff contributed to the success.’

On behalf of the Group Management Team, Mr. Dack, CNC President and CEO, thanked staff for their attendance and participation and encouraged everyone to use the energy and enthusiasm displayed at the meeting as a source of motivation for the forthcoming year.
