While Cayman Brac teachers will participate in the education conference beginning this Friday on Grand Cayman, additional meetings are being arranged on Cayman Brac next week to ensure that issues and solutions specific to the Brac are fully addressed.
The first of these meetings takes place 8 September from 3.30 – 4.30pm, for all teachers on the Sister Islands.
Later that evening there will be a session for members of the Brac community to contribute their views.
Both meetings will take place in the Main Hall of Cayman Brac High School. All members of the Sister Islands community are invited to attend the public session.
Attending both sessions to hear concerns will be the Minister for Education Mr. Alden McLaughlin, Permanent Secretary Mrs. Angela Martins, and Education Conference Committee Chairman Mr. Gareth Long.
