Bride and groom wanted

One happy couple who are planning to say ‘I Do’ in an unusual style or place could have their big day featured on the Travel Channel.

A US television company is currently in the Cayman Islands filming a series on destination weddings.

Authentic Entertainment, which is making the programmes for the Travel Channel, is shadowing wedding planner Jo-Anne Brown of local event management company Celebrations.

‘We would love to hear from anybody who is planning to get married in unusual circumstances, especially if it’s a local couple,’ said Aliyah Silverstein, co-executive producer of Authentic Entertainment.

She would particularly like to hear from anyone who might want to tie the knot during the festivities of Pirates Week.

‘We will be here filming during Pirates Week and it would be great if somebody decided to get married in costume,’ she said.

Other scenarios could be getting hitched in Hell or taking vows under water.

The film crew will be on the island for nine weeks and the series will be screened on the Travel Channel in the New Year.
