The Chamber’s Professional Development and Training Centre is holding a Business Continuity and Disaster Planning course on Friday, 3 June, from 9am to 4.30pm at the Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Centre in Governors Square.
The course aims to provide a strategic overview of the principles and practices of business continuity management and disaster planning. Developed for CEOs, business owners and those in equivalent senior posts, the course promises to offer an understanding of what it takes for a business to survive a hurricane.
Topics covered in the course will include business continuity and disaster planning, developing a BC and DP policy, monitoring the performance of the policy and the implications of management decisions on the organisation’s resilience. In addition, participants will learn to build the key elements of a continuity plan, to define continuity requirements and recovery strategies, about the key elements of a continuity strategy, how to assess the effectiveness of business continuity and disaster planning management within their organisation, to monitor the effectiveness of the business continuity and disaster planning team and resourcing requirements.
