Tails were wagging for all the right reasons at the first tail-painting party at the recent Petapalooza fundraiser at Grand Harbour.
With the swish of a tail, dogs dipped their furry appendage in different colours of washable, nontoxic paint and created original works of art on paper, signed with a paw print.
The tail painting party raised more than $200 in donations for the Cayman Islands Humane Society.
“We thought it would be a fun way to raise funds,” said Karen Bush, who was among the volunteers manning the booth at the event. “We hope to hold more tail painting parties at events to raise funds for the shelter.”
Dog trainer Kenneth Morgan was on hand to help with the painting party. Kirk Office Equipment donated all paints and supplies.
Petapalooza is an annual fundraiser for the Humane Society, sponsored by radio station Z99.
