A family of six was inside of a van when it went over the seawall at Atlantis on the George Town waterfront Monday afternoon.
RCIPS officers on the scene said the driver claimed his foot had become “entangled” with the gas pedal around 1.15pm and the vehicle accelerated over the parking block and landed nose first on the iron shore.
No one inside the van was hurt. The vehicle was a rented by the family, who is staying on Grand Cayman this week.
Police try to figure out how this accident happened on the waterfront Monday.
