A man who was shot in the arm early Sunday in central George Town was in stable condition following surgery at the Cayman Islands Hospital, police said.
The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service was investigating the incident, reported to them around 3:30 a.m. in George Town’s Rock Hole area. No arrests were reported by press time Monday.
When police arrived, the man had already been taken to hospital by private car, officers said.
He was being treated at the Cayman Islands Hospital, where medical personnel said it appeared he would survive.
Later Sunday, RCIPS officers investigating the shooting scene in the parking lot outside a Rock Hole restaurant towed away a Honda sedan that appeared to have been linked to the incident.
