A car mounted a sidewalk and struck a pedestrian after colliding with another vehicle on Eastern Avenue in George Town Monday morning.

Police said the accident occurred around 11:30 a.m., near the junction of School Road.

“A black Ford Sports Trac truck and a green Honda CR-V collided, the Honda then ran off the roadway and collided with a pedestrian who was walking along the sidewalk,” according to a statement from the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service.

The pedestrian was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital by ambulance where he was treated for non-life-threatening-injuries and later discharged.
