The Caribbean Utilities Company has closed its doors to customers at its North Sound headquarters after several of its customer service staff were isolated due to COVID-19.

The local electricity provider, in an announcement on its official Facebook page, said from 1pm on Thursday, 6 Jan., its North Sound office will close to in-person customer traffic “due to an increase in the number of customer service agents who are currently in isolation as per Public Health guidelines”.

It said it is anticipated that the office will reopen on Monday, 17 Jan.

“All customer matters will be handled virtually and customers are encouraged to use our website, send an email to [email protected] or call us at 949-5200. Please be advised that there will be an increase in processing times and there may be delays in our response times,” the post added.

All payments, it said, can be made on the CUC website, at any of the remote payment agents or at local banks.
