Police seize nearly $1.5M of cocaine

Police seized several packages of cocaine, estimated to be worth $1,476,750, at an address in George Town on Wednesday.

According to a brief statement released by the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service on Friday, officers from various units conducted a search of the premises around 9:30am, under the Misuse of Drugs Law.

In addition to the packages of cocaine, the officers recovered drug paraphernalia and “a large sum of cash”.

Police said no arrests have been made, but the matter remains under investigation.
