This is Cayman’s second water-related death for 2022.

On Good Friday, April 21, a 67-year-old American man who got into difficulty while snorkelling at an address on West Bay Road became Cayman’s first water-related death.

The man was in the water across from Earth Close when he lost consciousness.

He was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital by ambulance where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
