Platinum Jubilee celebrations over holiday weekend

It is hard to believe that Queen Elizabeth II has been on the throne for 70 years.

For most of us, she is the only British monarch we have known, and those who were in the Cayman Islands when she visited in 1983 and 1994 will never forget the experience.

In order to celebrate this remarkable accomplishment in style, the government has been planning events for months, and although the inclement weather has caused some postponements, there are still items on the calendar recognising the reign of our extraordinary queen.
