Police have launched a murder investigation following a late night stabbing in West Bay that claimed the life of one person.
In a statement released by the RCIPS this morning, a spokesperson said the incident happened near Captains Joe and Osbert Road.
“It was reported that a man had been stabbed during an alteration,” reads the statement. “The culprit(s) left the location prior to the arrival of police.”
The victim, a 51-year-old man from West Bay, was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment. However, police say he later succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced dead.
