The annual canapes and cocktails event, ‘For the Birds’, is returning to (naturally) The Bird in Seven Mile Shops on Wednesday, 26 Oct. at 7pm.
A venture that puts the ‘fun’ in ‘fundraising’, it brings ladies together for an evening of socialising while supporting the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Cayman Islands. There will be an art auction and raffle, with pieces on display from Stoakd, the local company of artists Pam and Marc Laurenson.
The 10-course canapes menu will be provided by chefs Mo Cubbon of Zest and Mariangel Quiroz of Prime Chef Services, along with tempting tipples by Jacques Scott.
Tickets are $25 per person, and although it is ladies-only from 7-10pm, the night owls (men) will be welcome after, for a donation to the cause.
Over the past two ‘For the Birds’ events, organisers have raised more than $30,000. The hope is that women will ‘flock’ to the night and exceed expectations this year.
