The 40-question test is designed to allow people to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the islands’ past and its traditions, as part of the application process. But questions have been raised over whether the test questions are widely known.

  1. Wow, these questions were even worse than when I sat the test many years ago. IMO the questions should be about national animals/plants etc. ABOUT festivals, like what they represent, not the year they started. About what the national Conservation Law encompasses, not the date it was introduced. The year the first car was brought to Cayman?? Really?? Who cares about all these dates? The test feels like a guessing game rather than a means to test one’s knowledge about and appreciation for the island they want to call “home.”

  2. Really silly questions. Says it all really! Obviously we don’t want any more people to get PR. So let’s put up any barrier possible and ask really stupid questions that most Caymanians won’t know the answer to.

  3. I, as well as many other people went through the grueling process of PR. We made the investments, contributed to the community, took the history courses provided, did the research, and all the answers are there. Nothing comes easy, especially PR and Caymanian Status and rightfully so! Get over it, bite your lip and get it done like the rest of us have.
