Workforce Opportunities and Residency Cayman is reminding permanent residency holders that their annual declaration forms must be submitted on or before the expiry date of their annual payment.
“Failure to submit this declaration is an offence and may result in the revocation of the Certificate,” a 3 July press release stated.
Provisions in the Immigration (Transition) Act require permanent residency holders to submit an annual declaration containing specific information relating to themselves and their dependents. The annual declaration form is expected to be submitted together with payment of the annual residency fee.
“If you have already paid your annual residency fee but have not yet submitted your annual declaration form for 2025, you are strongly urged to do so immediately to avoid the potential revocation of your permanent residency,” the press release stated, adding that as of July, Workforce Opportunities and Residency Cayman will intensify its monitoring and enforcement of the annual declaration requirement.
“While compliance has always been expected, stricter enforcement measures will now be applied,” the press release noted.
“Non-compliance may result in fines of up to CI$5,000 and potential revocation of residency status.”
