Three burglaries and a break-in occurred in Cayman Brac between Friday, 21 April, and the morning of Tuesday, 25 April, police have reported.

Police said the RCIPS Air Operations Unit would be heading over to the Brac Tuesday along with Crime Scene Investigation staff to probe the incidents.

On Friday morning, burglars broke into a business on West End Road East where they stole cash and food before making away with a Ford F-150 truck.

They smashed a window to gain access and left the premises in disarray, a police press release said. Officers responded to a report of the incident at 6:15am.

Just before 11:45am on the same day, a second report of a burglary – this time at a church on West End Road West – was made to Cayman Brac Police Station.

Two louvers were removed from a window shutter, the police release said.

The Air Operations Unit had travelled to the island on Saturday, 22 April, to conduct an aerial search of the island and located the stolen truck.

On Tuesday, two further incidents were reported to police.

Burglars raided the same business and a break-in also took place at a commercial property –both on West End Road East.

A rear door was forced open, police said, but nothing was reported stolen.
