It’s a chance to give your gently-used clothing and household goods a second home while helping a good cause.
In Cayman, various thrift shops sell second-hand items to raise funds to support their causes. It’s a win-win as those looking to downsize or declutter have an opportunity to give back to the community by donating unwanted items that are simply taking up space in their home.
Visitors or those leaving the island can also donate books and goods they may not want to take back home.
Thrifting is a great way to save money, as quality goods and clothing can be found at exceptional deals. It’s also fun.
Here is a round-up of thrift shops accepting secondhand goods. Keep in mind that items should be in good condition – if you can’t use it as is, neither can the charity.
