An armed man stole a handbag outside Everglo Bar in Bodden Town after the owner saw him approaching and ran away.
A 911 call reporting the incident was made just after 10:10pm on Sunday, 8 Oct., according to a police press release.
Witnesses said a man carrying a handgun approached a group of people who had congregated outside the bar.
“Seeing this, the group ran to safety and in doing so, a handbag was left in [the] area which was stolen by the gunman,” the press release said.
The man then fled the location southbound in a dark-coloured vehicle.
Police responded to the report and a search was carried out in an effort to locate the vehicle, but it was not found.
