The Cayman Islands Football Association senior leagues kicked off 4-5 Nov., with several teams gaining momentum heading into week two.

In the CIFA Men’s First Division, Prospect Academy and Cayman Athletic SC secured wins. Prospect bested East End United 4-2, while Cayman Athletic edged Sunset FC 1-0. The newly returned Tigers FC settled for a 2-2 draw against Cayman Brac FC.

The CIFA Women’s Premier League featured defending champions Elite SC dominating newcomers Future SC 6-0. Fusion SC won 3-0 over Latinos FC and Sunset FC defeated Scholars International 2-1.

345 FC, Bodden Town FC and Elite SC all picked up wins in the CIFA Men’s Premier League. In an exciting match, 345 overcame Academy SC – winning 4-3. Bodden Town beat Roma United 4-0 and Elite SC toppled Future SC 5-0 in their derby fixture. Meanwhile, Scholars International and Alliance FC drew 2-all.

All three leagues will take a pause for President’s Cup action taking place 11-12 Nov., beginning with 345 FC taking on Bodden Town FC for the men’s opening game and Fusion playing Elite in the women’s opening game.
