The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service is seeking information related to an alleged armed robbery at a George Town restaurant late Sunday.
The RCIPS, in a press release issued Wednesday, said that officers responded to an incident near Shedden Road and Dr. Roy’s Drive shortly before midnight on 5 May.
“It was reported to police that a masked man entered the restaurant armed with what appeared to be a firearm and took personal belongings from two persons present,” the press release said.
The man reportedly fled the scene on foot toward Dr. Roy’s Drive.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward and asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
