Police have launched a manhunt for a masked gang who robbed a security guard.
The guard was on duty outside a store when he was approached by a group wearing hoodies and masks, who stole his phone and other personal items before escaping.
The man was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment, but his injuries are not thought to be serious.
The incident happened at 2.30am on Wednesday at Queen’s Court Plaza on George Town’s West Bay Road.
Officers investigating the incident discovered that a nearby jewellery store had been raided and items stolen.
Police said they were aware of video footage on social media that shows four masked men carrying out the burglary.
Both incidents are under investigation and anyone with information that could help should contact police.
