Police have arrested a man for possession of an imitation firearm after they responded to a disturbance at a bar in Trafalgar Place, on West Bay Road, Thursday night.
In a statement issued on Friday, police said they had gone to the bar and approached the suspect, who attempted to discard an object.
“The object, which appeared to be a flare gun, was recovered by officers,” the RCIPS said.
Officers detained and searched the man, who was found in possession of a quantity of ganja.
The man, age 31 of West Bay, was arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm and suspicion of possession and consumption of ganja.

He remained in custody Friday as investigations continued.
