The Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce held its annual golf classic at North Sound Golf Club on Friday, 7 Nov., with proceeds from the tournament going directly to its workforce development programmes.

While the afternoon delivered plenty of spirited competition, laughter and
camaraderie, the real winner was the future of Cayman’s workforce, said the Chamber of Commerce in a press release.

“This tournament isn’t just about great golf – it’s about giving back,” said Omari Corbin, chamber president.

Corbin added, “By supporting the Chamber’s workforce development efforts, you’re helping to build a stronger, smarter, and more resilient Cayman. That’s something worth celebrating.”

The chamber’s workforce development programmes offer upskilling, certification
and career-readiness training for Caymanians across multiple industries, said the release.

The tournament followed the four-person scramble format, making it accessible for golfers of all skill levels.

This year’s tournament came with added significance as it formed part of the chamber’s 60th anniversary celebrations.

“This milestone highlights six decades of leadership, collaboration and service to the Cayman business community, ” said the chamber.
