Cristina Spratt formally replaced Omari Corbin as the president of the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce at the organisation’s annual general meeting on 15 April at the Grand Cayman Marriott Resort.
Spratt used her first official address to set out the priorities for 2026, which is the third and final year of the chamber’s Advocacy Agenda. The overarching themes of that agenda include building a future-ready workforce, sustaining economic success and advancing quality of life.
At the AGM, Spratt spelled out the specific topics that the chamber will focus on during her presidency. One key topic is the cost of doing business and the cost of living. Another related topic is affordable housing and planning concerns. The chamber will also advocate for a long-term national development and economic development plan.
Workforce development and immigration reform were highlighted as a chamber priority. Customs code reviews and pension reform was another topic for 2026. The chamber will also advocate for expanding regional and international trade engagement to strengthen supply chains.
In another initiative, the chamber will work to expand its Government Accountability Scorecard in 2026. Premier and Minister for Financial Services and Commerce André Ebanks used his address at the AGM to reinforce the need for partnership between the government and private sector.
Members, councillors and champions
Spratt was keen to acknowledge that the chamber’s success depended on the support of Cayman’s business community. “The Chamber’s greatest strength lies in its members,” said Spratt. “Together, we can shape a more resilient, inclusive and prosperous future for our islands.”
In addition to Spratt officially taking her position as chamber president, new officers were elected to serve on the chamber council.

Garth Arch, the managing director of Arch & Godfrey was named as president-elect. Mary Reynolds, the general manager of Cayman Cost.U.Less Ltd., is the new chamber vice president. Bernadette Myles, financial controller at Maples Group, will serve as treasurer. David Johnston, managing director of Corporate Electric Ltd., was elected as secretary.
The new councillors, serving a two-year term, are Ravi Campbell, the vice president of information technology at Dart Enterprises Ltd; Hermes Cuello, the general manager of Grand Cayman Marriott Resort and Dr. Margo McCrae, the CEO of Doctors’ Hospital.
Three other councillors have one year remaining on their term: Kellie Sandy, the co-owner of Healthy Futures Ltd.; Dr. Annette Stephenson, the CEO of Cayman Hearing Centre; and Tamsin Weinstein.
The AGM also celebrated 52 ‘Chamber Champions’. These are member organisations that have shown exceptional support through sponsorship, contributions and engagement.
