A small fire broke out at Glacier House shopping plaza on Eastern Avenue on Sunday night, 28 June. There were no reports of injuries.
It is not yet clear what time the call initially came in, but by 8 pm, crews from the Caribbean Utilities Company and Cayman Islands Fire Service were on the scene.

Fire fighters gained access to the Cyber Clothing store and installed an extractor fan at the door to clear the smoke. A fire officer on the scene said they had not yet determined the cause of the fire, which occurred on the ground floor of the two-story building.
While smoke was also visibly out of the shop called Mandy’s, located on the side of the building closest to Eastern Avenue, it does not appear at this stage that the flames affected any other unit other than the Cyber Clothing store.
