Twenty talented young performers from Musicians Ltd recently returned from an unforgettable trip to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, where they proudly represented both the school and the Cayman Islands on an international stage.
The group, aged 10–18, was selected to take part in the prestigious Disney Imagination Campus Performance Program, which brings together outstanding young performers from around the world to showcase their talents while learning from Disney entertainment professionals.
The highlight of the trip was the students’ polished 25-minute musical theatre showcase at the Disney Springs Waterside Stage. Performing an exciting programme of singing, acting and dance to an international audience, the performance reflected a year of hard work, dedication and rehearsal. Throughout the trip, the students received glowing praise from Disney Cast Members and Staff, who commended not only the quality of their performance but also their professionalism, enthusiasm and positive attitude both on and off the stage.
The group also took part in the exclusive Disney Broadway Magic Workshop, inspired by “Tangled”, led by an official Disney cast member and teaching artist. Students explored professional rehearsal techniques, character development and storytelling while gaining a unique insight into the world of Broadway-style performance.
Their talent and work ethic made such an impression that the workshop leader chose to attend their Disney Springs performance the following day. Following the showcase, she personally congratulated the students, praising their versatility, stage presence and the supportive culture they had built as an ensemble—an incredible endorsement from a Disney professional.
Away from the stage, students enjoyed exploring two of Disney’s theme parks, creating lifelong memories while strengthening friendships and celebrating everything they had achieved together.
The Disney Imagination Campus experience offered far more than a performance opportunity. It provided invaluable professional training, the chance to perform on an international stage and an experience that inspired confidence, creativity and personal growth.
As the students return home, they do so having represented the Cayman Islands with pride, professionalism and passion – an achievement they, their families and the entire Musicians Ltd community can be immensely proud of.
