Levar Antonio Wood, who is serving a five-year prison sentence for causing the death of his best friend Giovani Berry in a 2019 fatal collision, is being sued by Berry's family for unspecified damages.

In a Grand Court appearance via video link on Friday, 3 Sept., Levar Wood denied causing the death by dangerous driving of Giovani Berry.

A 27-year-old George Town man, who was extradited from the United Kingdom on Wednesday, has been charged with causing the death of 29-year-old Giovani Berry in 2019 by dangerous driving.
