More than 1,500 participants turned out for Butterfield’s 25th Annual St. Patrick’s Day 5K Irish Jog on Friday. Beth Florek was the first female to cross the finish line and Ali King took first place for males in the 3.1 mile race.
St. Patrick’s Irish Jog turns 25
The much-loved St. Patrick’s Day 5k Irish Jog turns 25 this year! Started as part of Butterfield’s 25th Anniversary celebrations in 1993, the Jog has grown each year to raise more funds for the islands’ most deserving charities and not-for-profit organizations.
Irish Jog to benefit Special Needs Foundation
The Special Needs Foundation Cayman will be the beneficiary of money raised at this year’s St. Patrick’s Day 5K Irish Jog on March 17. “The committee agreed that this was an opportunity to help a group of people who, for many years, have been overlooked,” said Michael McWatt,
