Seventeen-year-old Jade Wilkinson has accepted a partial scholarship to IMG in Florida, one of the world’s top tennis academies. Jade, Cayman’s top female junior tennis player, started her new life of intensive training at the Florida sports academy early last month.

Cayman Open draws local, international talent

The biggest draw in this year’s Cayman Open, held last weekend at the Cayman Islands Tennis Club, was the men’s open division, a press release states. The players included some of Cayman’s best and some well-known players from overseas. Most of the tennis professionals on the island participated as well.

Junior tennis fields 22 players in PwC tournament

A total of 22 players participated in the PwC Junior Circuit Tennis Tournament over the weekend at the Cayman Islands Tennis Club. In the Under-10 division, Jake Fagan and Phin Ellison played in the final. Jake won 6-3, 6-7, 10-7.
