Lovell Marriott, who has staged several one-woman demonstrations in recent years, appeared in Grand Court Friday to appeal against her  convictions for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest and her conditional discharge sentence.

Lovell Marriott has been conditionally discharged and levied a $100 fee in Summary Court, with a warning that she must stay out of trouble for one year, or risk having a conviction recorded against her.

A 20-year-old West Bay man was bitten by a police dog while resisting arrest following a domestic incident at an address off Selkirk Drive in George Town, police have said.

A 21-year-old George Town man has been charged with arson and assaulting police, as well as 10 other charges.

A rowdy scene outside a West Bay bar over the weekend led to two arrests after police said they used pepper spray against two women during a struggle.
