Chisholm, Bodden named MBEs

Two prominent members of the Caymanian community have received high honours from Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

Mr. Harry Colvin Chisholm, JP and Mr. Seth Thomas Bodden, JP have each been made a Member of the Order of the British Empire as part of the Queen’s 2005 New Year’s Honours List.

Also being honoured are 11 Caymanians.

The Governor, Mr. Bruce Dinwiddy, named the 11 to be awarded the Cayman Islands Certificate and Badge of Honour.

Pastor Alden Anersley Ebanks is honoured for services to the church and the community, and Mrs. Deanna Marie Lookloy, Mr. Loxley Elmslie McLean Banks and Mr. Paul Henry (Richard) Smith all gain recognition for services to government and the community.

Honoured for services to the community are Dr. Gelia L. Frederick van Genderen, Ms Clova Bush, Mr. John Francis Richard Hew, Mr. Darrel Benton Rankine, Mr. Crosby Solomon, Mr. Jesse Smith, and Mr. Leroy Elliott.
