The admission took place recently before Madam Justice Levers in the Grand Court of Mr. David Pytches, a trust lawyer from England.
The application for admission was made by Mr. Angus Foster, Senior Litigation Partner at Walkers, who introduced Mr. Pytches to the Court. Mr. Pytches was educated at St Andrews University in Scotland where he obtained a first class honours degree.
He subsequently attended the College of Law in London where he obtained a distinction in the LPC and a commendation in the CPE.
He undertook his training with a well known private client firm and duly qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales. Mr Pytches continued to work in the field of estate planning and private trusts, in particular advising trustees and beneficiaries, and obtained considerable experience in this field. Mr. Foster explained that Mr. Pytches joins Walkers Trusts Group where he will continue to work on all aspects of trusts, including drafting and reviewing trust deeds, advising trustees and beneficiaries on their rights and obligations.
Mr. Foster also mentioned that Mr. Pytches is a keen cricketer, which he said was clearly an asset, particularly in this part of the world.
Mr. Pytches was welcomed to the Cayman Islands Bar by Madam Justice Levers who wished him well both professionally and on the cricket pitch. Mr Pytches thanked the Judge for the honour of being admitted as an attorney in the Cayman Islands and said that he very much looked forward to living and working in Cayman.
