Jackman is new Deloitte partner

The partners of Deloitte have announced the admission of Taron Jackman to the partnership.

Mr. Jackman has been with Deloitte since 2000, and was promoted to Director of Operations in 2001. During this time he has also taken on the additional responsibility of managing several internal and client based service lines, states a press release.

As partner he will continue in his existing role, but will also head up Deloitte Consulting, comprising of Human Capital, Property Consulting and Economic & Business Consulting Services (including Accounting Services).

Mr. Jackman was raised and educated in the Cayman Islands, and is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Jackman. After graduating from the Cayman Islands High School, Taron began working with the local branch of an international accounting firm, where he obtained a scholarship to attend Purdue University in Indiana. He graduated with his Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting in 1990, and then successfully obtained his Certified Public Accountant designation in 1991.

Mr. Jackman has over 13 years of post qualification experience, with nine years at a senior management or board level in the financial services and professional services sectors. He has previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer of a Cayman Islands subsidiary of a major international bank where he gained practical experience in the areas of credit, treasury, compliance, fiduciary services and settlements and custody of financial instruments. Additionally, he has had specialised project management training in both the United States and the United Kingdom and holds a certificate in project management from Florida Atlantic University.

Mr. Jackman is a member of the Cayman Islands Society of Professional Accountants, Treasurer of the Board of the Cayman Islands National Museum, a member of the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman (Central) and is a member of the Board of the Cayman Islands Airports Authority.
