Appleby Spurling Hunter received the ‘Offshore Law Firm of the Year’ award at the Chambers Global Awards 2005.
The award was presented to Warren Cabral, the Managing Partner of Appleby’s London office, by Cherie Booth, wife of UK Prime Minister, Tony Blair. Appleby competed against the elite of global offshore firms, namely Carey Olsen, Hassans, Maples & Calder, Mourant du Feu Jeune, Ogier, Ozannes and Walkers.
The presentation, held at London’s Hilton Hotel on Park Lane, took place on Thursday, 19 May, and attracted over 1,000 guests.

Chambers Global, a London-based publishing company, annually conduct objective research throughout the world by interviewing thousands of lawyers and their clients to determine the key service providers in each area. The survey results in a six-point ranking scale for top firms and attorneys.
Their market research methodology has been approved by the British Market Research Bureau and is audited annually.
