Rotary Sunrise is offering the coolest car in Cayman in its raffle to be drawn on Sunday.
Top prize is the 2005 convertible MINI Cooper. Second prize is two scooters and the third prize – two Cayman Airways tickets to any CAL destination, and there’s more.
There are several gift certificates for meals, goods and services donated by many firms.
The raffle is the main fund raiser organised by Rotary Sunrise and all proceeds will go to various Rotary programmes in the Cayman Islands.
The major sponsors are Scotia Bank, British Caymanian Insurance, Walkers and Bank Austria. Their generosity has helped pay such overheads as ticket printing and posters, and helped underwrite the cost of the car, scooters and their freight charges, ensuring that every cent of the proceeds goes to the Rotary programmes.
‘Currently we are helping the Bonaventure Home for Boys, several school libraries, a school science desk and other similar projects. A huge sum went, and is still going to, Ivan recovery,’ said Geoff Mathews of Rotary Sunrise. ‘This is an ongoing project and this year a number of other ventures will be helped and all the people in Cayman will benefit.’
Raffle tickets are $25 each or five for $100 obtainable from any Rotary Sunrise member.
