Minister for Health Services, Agriculture, Aviation and Works Anthony Eden continued a multiple-day tour of his ministry’s departments and areas of responsibility, by focusing on health services.
Staff from the Cayman Islands National Insurance Company, the Health Insurance Commission and the Health Practice Commission recently met the minister on his tour, according to a Government Information Services press release.
Minister Eden introduced himself and spoke to staff individually. He also met with top officials at CINICO and the two commissions, updating himself on Cayman’s health-care system.
‘It was good to gain insight into the operations of the new government entities,’ Mr. Eden said.
‘I look forward to working with all persons involved to further develop our health-care system.’
Accompanying him on the visits were Permanent Secretary for Health Services Andrea Bryan, and Deputy Permanent Secretary for Health Services Diane Montoya.
Mr. Eden will tour district health centres before going visiting Public Works, the National Roads Authority, the Cayman Islands Airports Authority, the Civil Aviation Authority, the Department of Agriculture and the Humane Society. He will also visit the Sister Islands.
