James Bovell of RE/MAX is the new President of Cayman Islands Real Estate Brokers Association.
Mr. Bovell was among several well known members of the local real estate community recently elected by their peers to CIREBA’s 2005 Board of Directors, said a press release from the association. Elections were held at Castaways Restaurant during the group’s annual general meeting.
Vice President is Jeremy Hurst of IRG Realty, Michael Day of Regal Realty is Secretary and Doug Sell of Butler Properties is Treasurer. Also on the Board of Directors are JC Calhoun of Coldwell Banker, Dale Crighton of Crighton Properties, Kel Thompson of Century 21 Just Condos, Al Whittaker of Heritage & Hinton and Billy Culbert of Rainbow Realty, who is also CIREBA’s Past President.
‘The Cayman Islands real estate market remains vibrant and buoyant,’ Mr. Bovell said in the release. ‘The Islands remain uniquely attractive to those looking for sound investments or those looking to own a secluded piece of paradise. The real estate professionals in the Cayman Islands are professional, responsive and effective. CIREBA works hard to keep the standards high and I aim to build on that foundation as President.’
In the upcoming year, CIREBA’s new board plans to continue to promote association members and their activities to the local and international public. Also on the agenda is the continuation of educational resources for member agencies.
