Whether in the raw or fully clothed, well-liked comedian Quincy Brown, never fails to leave his audience with a good laugh.
Such was the case on Saturday night when Quincy along with other local comedians and poets, shared some humorous and serious sides of life in Cayman.
The production, Laugh at life in Cayman, although a little explicit at times, was good fun for those in attendance.
Taking it all in good strike, the audience cheered Quincy on even when he hesitated about telling a taboo joke.
Held at Kings Sports Centre Friday night, comedians poked fun at politicians, Hurricane Ivan, Quincy himself, people in the community, marriages and expats. The show also highlighted Cayman’s culture, history and heritage.
The show, which lasted about two and a half hours with Quincy taking the stage for a full 60 minutes, also featured Fritz McPherson, Jay the Poet, Craig Merren and Princess Wright.
Mimicking some of Cayman’s politicians, Craig Merren had the audience in stitches when he told the joke of Frank McField, Staunch and Roger Bodden with their water woes.
Fritz McPherson got the audience’s attention with the poem Who We Belong To written by Kimberly Owens.
‘We have every reason to laugh and to enjoy life for what we just come through and survived,’ said host of the evening show,’ Lyndon Martin.
During a short intermission attendees got the chance to view one-of-a-kind creations art works by artist Leulan Bodden.
The comedy production was organised and put on by Quincy Brown. The stand up comic has been entertaining Cayman audiences from the time he was in his early teens.
Originally from Cayman Brac, Quincy says he is a bon-a-fide Caymanain with his navel string buried in three places Little Cayman, Watering Place, Cayman Brac, and George Town, Grand Cayman.
