Not all are Rastas

In reference to the police report of 27 September, 2005, Caymanian Compass about a robbery that took place at Shereynold’s on 24 September, 2005, at 9.30pm that indicated a person or individual committing a serious offence to a female, describing the individual as Rastafarian.

The individual that committed this crime is described as a Rastafarian, a true believer of God. Do not accept such discrimination concerning Rastafarians. Rastafarians are humane, honest, intelligent, ambitious and keepers of the faith in God our Saviour.

The person that committed this serious act should be referred to as a person with locks, not a Rastafarian.

Not all people that have locks are Rastas. To quote the words of HIM Emperor Haile Selassie ‘A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots.’

The person has no respect for others. This act only gives other people a bad reputation in society and the world.

Rastafarians will always strive for constant improvement, recognize areas to improve, establish personal and professional goals and objectives for improvement, look for the positive, maintain a high personal standard and anticipate that they will achieve their goals.

That includes thinking positively about yourself, your work and abilities. If you need to, post inspirational and positive thoughts in easy to see places.
