Attorney David Collier has joined Charles Adams, Ritchie & Duckworth as a member of the litigation team.
Mrs. Rosie Whittaker-Myles, a partner with the firm, recently moved the application for the general admission of Mr. Collier to the Cayman Islands Bar before Mr. Justice Alexander Henderson.
In support of the application, Mrs. Whittaker-Myles highlighted Mr. Collier’s qualifications and experience as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of England and Wales and as a part of the commercial litigation team at Kuit Steinart Levy and at Hammonds, Manchester, England.
Mr. Collier’s broad area of practice includes insolvency, financial services, partnership disputes, property and more general commercial litigation.
He was admitted to practice as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of England and Wales on 1t March 2000 after obtaining his LLB (Hons) from the University of Huddlesfield in 1995 and his Master of Arts degree in Legal Studies from the Manchester Metropolitan University in 1997.
In allowing the application, Mr. Justice Henderson welcomed Mr. Collier to the Cayman Bar after drawing to his attention the obligations and expectations of members of the legal profession and wished him success.
