Drunk driving crackdown continues

The New Year’s Eve celebration which falls on Saturday, 31 December, requiring Liquor Licensed premises to close at midnight is expected to cause an increase in after hours parties referred to locally as ‘Sessions’ where alcohol, drug and public order offences are often committed.

The RCIPS is reminding the public that the sale of tickets, which include the supply or sale of liquor, is illegal and does not constitute a private party.

High visibility policing will be maintained throughout the holiday season, thereby providing a sense of security for the people of the Cayman Islands as they celebrate.

Road blocks will continue in order to enforce the drink driving campaign.
