Mariko Jack, wife of Governor Stuart Jack, has been named an honorary member of Sunrise Rotary
She was inducted by President Stuart Diamond at a recent ceremony, said a press release from the Club
She joins 65 other members, mostly young professionals from Cayman and 15 other countries.
Mariko was born and brought up in Hokkaido, Japan. After completing a degree in International Economics, she worked for Canon Inc. in Tokyo and New York.
On return to Tokyo, she worked as presenter and hostess for national and commercial TV and radio stations. She has written books and articles for newspapers and magazines.
She trained and qualified as a high school teacher, and as a teacher of Ikebana, City and Guild flower arrangement, and of English as a Foreign Language. She is also an experienced conference interpreter.
