Cayman Airways flies extra mile

Cayman Airways has again shown what corporate entities can do to help future generations of Caymanians become better citizens.

The sponsorship is for the attendance by the two Cayman Brac youth delegates and their chaperone at the second annual Youth Parliament organised by the Cayman Islands branch of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, and also for all pre-event meetings.

CAL sponsored the three persons for travel on 21 January at the pre-event meeting of the Youth Parliament. The actual event is scheduled for Commonwealth Day Monday, 13 March, at the Legislative Assembly. Cayman Airways will also sponsor travel on 4 February, 25 February, 11 March and 14 March.

The two youth participants from the Brac, Reshma Nikeeta Seeram and Dustin Bodden, and their chaperone, Cayman Brac High School teacher Hyacinth Downer, are sponsored by the airline.

Cayman Airways’ President and CEO, Mike Adam, presented the tickets to the trio on 21 January at the LA.

‘We are delighted to be able to assist in an initiative geared to promoting our youth and having a positive influence on the future of these Islands. Cayman Airways will continue to participate in activities and programmes involved with the development of our youth,’ he said.

Mr. Alfonso Wright, Youth Parliament sub-committee chairman added, ‘The committee is most grateful to Cayman Airways’ contribution. It has been a big help in organising the event and assisting the Youth Parliament to expand the number of our young people who can take part in it.’
