Two respected individuals in the district of Bodden Town were recently thanked for long and dedicated service to the community.
Freddie Walter, cemetery caretaker, and retired Bodden Town Postmistress Petrea Kelly were thanked by residents at a retirement party held at the Bodden Town Senior Citizens Home.
Community residents, including MLA Osbourne Bodden, Health Minister Anthony Eden and Tourism Minister Charles Clifford, joined by Post Office personnel, commended the two for their dedicated work.
In the garden of the seniors’ home, Mrs. Kelly was presented with a table set and Mr. Watler received a television.
The group enjoyed a buffet meal and music by the North Side Kitchen Band.
Both Mr. Watler and Mrs. Kelly said they enjoyed their work tremendously and were very happy to have been of service to the community.
