Summer fun

The NCVO recently held its annual Summer Camp at Miss Nadine’s Pre-School.

The two weeks of camp – from 7-18 August – was filled with field trips, arts and crafts, games, videos, story time and much more.

Field trips included the Butterfly Farm, where the children enjoyed having the butterflies land on their shoulders and even on their heads.

Another field trip was on the Nautilus semi-submarine where the children saw many beautiful fish and coral.

In addition, the NCVO summer campers visited Mr. Willie’s Farm in North Side, the George Town Fire Station, the Airport Park, the George Town Library, the Botanic Park and the Dart Park.

They also had a visit from the Red Cross who spoke to the children about being prepared for a hurricane.

Numerous businesses and volunteers assisted with the camp, and the NCVO thanked all contributors for their generosity.
