Shout Hallelujah, praise the Lord

A Gospel concert predicted to capture the hearts and minds of Christians and non-Christians is on its way.

Shout Hallelujah 2006 will be held at the Lions Centre Saturday, 7 October. Starting at 7pm, it is being presented by Light of the World. Admission is $20 pre-sold and $25 at the gate.

World acclaimed gospel singers Alvin Slaughter and Sandra Brooks will lend their vocal talents to the night of praise and worship. They will be supported by well-known local artists such as Michelle T; Clariety from King’s Seventh Day Adventist, Sandy Martin of All Nations United Pentecostal and Keesa Peart-Garricks from New Testament Church.

Thrilling audiences with his own particular brand of contemporary gospel, the award winning Slaughter is well-known for hits including Latter Rain, Revive Us Again, Rain Down, Speak Lord, Where Would I Be and many more.

Slaughter’s ministry has expanded to an international level, winning new audiences with an exciting, powerful style that has become uniquely his own.

Slaughter began his solo career in 1990 after several years as a guest vocalist with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir.

As part of his commitment to global ministry, Slaughter with wife Gloria, son Sean and others, has launched a number of programmes worldwide.

Sandra Brooks, no stranger to the Cayman stage continues to thrill audience with her dynamic voice.

Sandy Martin, joint winner of the Cayman Islands Gospel Festival 2004-05, will also perform songs from her album Jesus is Real, launched in April this year.

Sandy has shared the stage with the likes of George Banton, Eleanor Riley; Marvia Providence and Stitchie among others.

Michelle T, past member of the Grace Thrillers Gospel Band, is currently looking at forming a singing ministry. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, she has shared the stage with popular artists such as Sean Paul, Shaggy, Beeni Man and Lady Saw.

Jamaican born, Keesa Peart-Garricks started singing at a tender age. Her debut CD Touch Jesus is doing well throughout the Caribbean and North America.
