Club assists Cancer Society

The Cayman Islands Gaelic Football Club recently made a donation of CI$1,000 to the Cayman Islands Cancer Society.

The funds were raised by the Club as part of its 2006 League Finals weekend raffle extravaganza in memory of their good friend and member Pete O’Neill.

Cancer Society General Manager Christine Sanders said the funds will be used to help cancer patients with treatment-related expenses.

She added that providing financial support to cancer patients and their families is one of the larger programs offered by the Cancer Society and is growing each year. The program is funded by donations from the community.
